Job summary

The Senior Manager of External Warehousing & Logistics is responsible for developing and implementing a global strategy for external warehousing across Europe and the Rest of World. This role involves managing a network of external partners to ensure compliant and efficient operations that support a growing portfolio of products.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical sector, particularly in external warehousing and logistics.
• Proven track record in developing and executing supply chain strategies at a regional or global scale.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, financial processes, and compliance with SOX/GxP regulations.
• Experience in supplier and contract management, including negotiation and performance oversight.
• Budget management experience with a focus on cost optimization.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across various functions.
• Experience in a global, matrixed organization.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Leadership experience in project or people management, with a focus on driving change and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global external warehousing strategy, ensuring scalability and compliance.
• Serve as the main contact for external warehousing partners and logistics suppliers, fostering strong relationships.
• Oversee the efficiency of inbound and outbound logistics across global external warehouse providers.
• Lead implementation and validation activities at external partners, including contract negotiation and management.
• Manage supplier performance, including monitoring KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Control the warehousing budget, ensuring transparency and alignment with financial goals.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and compliance across external warehouses.
• Maintain adherence to SOX and GxP requirements related to inventory and distribution processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Ensure optimal performance of logistics systems, including enhancements and testing.
