Senior Manager, Enterprise AI/BI Analytics Platform

Job summary

The role involves leading the Enterprise AI/BI Analytics Platform, focusing on the strategy, architecture, and delivery of advanced business intelligence and AI-driven analytics across the organization. The position aims to transition from traditional dashboards to AI-enhanced, self-service analytics experiences.

Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the enterprise BI ecosystem, including tools like Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik, and Power BI.
• Standardize tool usage and minimize fragmentation over time.
• Develop scalable patterns for dashboard creation, performance optimization, governance, and access control.
• Drive the migration to a unified, metadata-driven analytics experience.
• Create and implement a roadmap for AI-enabled analytics, incorporating features like natural language querying and automated insights.
• Assess and integrate new technologies, such as LLM-based analytics.
• Ensure integration between BI layers, business transformation logic, and metadata layers.
• Collaborate with data governance teams to align on standards and policies.
• Serve as the main liaison between business stakeholders and the analytics platform.
• Promote the adoption of modern analytics capabilities across various functions.
• Convert business requirements into scalable platform solutions.
• Encourage data literacy and effective use of BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Bioinformatics preferred.
• Experience in regulated industries, particularly biotech or pharma, is advantageous.
• 5-8+ years in BI, analytics, or data platform roles.
• 3+ years in operational management.
• Familiarity with AI/BI or augmented analytics.
• Proficient in at least two of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire.
• Strong background in modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), SQL, and data modeling using dbt or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of metadata and governance concepts, such as Unity Catalog.

Education

• BS degree required, preferably in a relevant field.

Tools

• Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Spotfire) and modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake).
