Job summary

This is a freelance, fully remote position for a Data Scraping Engineer specializing in Python. The role involves managing data scraping workflows within a hybrid AI and human system, focusing on web extraction and processing tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related technical fields is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python web scraping tools such as BeautifulSoup and Selenium, including experience with dynamic content and APIs.
• Strong skills in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, capable of delivering structured datasets in formats like CSV and JSON.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI frameworks is advantageous.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency (B2) or higher is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end data extraction workflows from complex websites, ensuring accuracy and reliability of structured datasets.
• Utilize internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) and custom workflows for efficient data collection and validation.
• Adapt scraping techniques to handle dynamic web sources and changing site behaviors.
• Implement data quality standards through validation checks and systematic verification.
• Scale scraping operations for large datasets, monitoring for failures and maintaining stability against minor site changes.

Tools
