Senior Infrastructure and Cloud Security Engineer

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing infrastructure and cloud security within a Security Enablement Team. The position involves collaborating with various engineering and IT teams to ensure secure system operations across office and data center networks, as well as employee access to product systems.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in IT, cloud, and security intersections.
• Strong fundamentals in networking, identity management, endpoint security, MFA, and SSO at production scale.
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly GCP or AWS, including IAM and networking.
• Experience with workforce identity and access management, including SSO and identity providers.
• A security mindset with the ability to identify misconfigurations and access issues.
• Ability to work across different contexts without difficulty.
• Experience in building internal tooling that is adopted by teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and review office and data center networks, including VPN connectivity.
• Develop secure connectivity patterns and endpoint security tools for IT teams.
• Create automation for workforce identity and access management, including SSO and MFA.
• Implement automated checks for cloud configuration drift and network rules.
• Address findings from external penetration tests in collaboration with owning teams.
• Establish cross-cutting capabilities like cross-site VPNs and drift checks.
• Collaborate with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams to create evidence pipelines for IT controls.
• Conduct office hours for network and access reviews with IT and product teams.

Skills

• Networking and identity management expertise.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge, particularly in GCP or AWS.
• Familiarity with SSO and identity providers.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Education

• Relevant experience in IT, cloud, or security roles.

Tools

• Familiarity with VPN solutions, endpoint management tools, and audit log pipelines is a plus.
