Job summary

The role involves supporting the company's decarbonization journey by building transparency around GHG emissions. The specialist will work within a team focused on compliance reporting, sustainability, transition planning, data performance, and operational excellence, engaging with various stakeholders across transportation modes.

Qualifications

• Expertise in GHG Protocol accounting and its application to developing frameworks.
• Knowledge of novel GHG accounting applications and emerging carbon markets.
• Familiarity with GHG P Land Sector Standard and Guidance.
• Experience in supplier engagement frameworks and technical solutions for sustainable procurement.
• Understanding of ISO standards related to GHG and environmental accounting.

Responsibilities

• Translate GHG accounting frameworks into practical applications for various transportation modes.
• Develop methodologies for new products to account for decarbonization benefits.
• Implement framework updates and provide feedback on consultations.
• Compile corporate GHG Emission Inventories and update the company transition plan.
• Act as a subject matter expert on environmental attributes in contracts.
• Investigate low emission energy sources and their relevance to certification schemes.
• Establish governance rules for accurate data communication.
• Prepare emissions data for third-party audits.
