Senior Financial Controller / Chief Accountant

Job summary

An experienced Senior Financial Controller / Chief Accountant is sought to manage the finance function for a manufacturing entity in Lithuania, transitioning from an external accounting provider to in-house operations. This role involves significant operational finance responsibilities and participation in finance transformation initiatives within a global organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance, or economics; audit experience from a Big 4 or strong mid-tier firm preferred.
• Chief accountant or certified auditor credentials are advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing or an international group.
• Strong knowledge of Lithuanian tax legislation and LFAS.
• ERP experience, preferably with at least one migration completed.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Power Query and BI tools.
• Professional proficiency in Lithuanian and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full general ledger and monthly close for the entity for group reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Lithuanian tax regulations and statutory reporting.
• Prepare annual financial statements under LFAS.
• Act as primary contact for external auditors and tax authorities.
• Supervise monthly payroll processed by an external provider for approximately 100 employees.
• Participate actively in the ongoing IFS Cloud ERP migration across the group.
• Report directly to the Group CFO in Denmark.

Location and Setup

The role is based in Alytus, with the option to work from the Vilnius office or the Danish headquarters in Køge. Hybrid work is supported, but the position is not remote.
