Senior Engineer (Embedded Systems Test Automation)

Job summary

This position focuses on enhancing quality engineering capabilities through embedded software test automation. The role involves collaborating with the Operations Quality team and Engineering Capabilities to optimize automated test systems for embedded systems, data pipelines, and mobile applications. A key responsibility is managing the complexity of product variants to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in multiple languages, particularly Python.
• Proven experience in test automation for embedded systems, including hardware-in-the-loop and system-level validation.
• Ability to define and scale test strategies and processes to accommodate product expansion and increased SKU complexity.
• Experience in driving test transformation initiatives to improve effectiveness, coverage, and efficiency.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with complex system architectures, integrating software, hardware, and data platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the technical QA architecture for scalable collaboration across teams.
• Architect and implement test automation strategies, frameworks, and tools.
• Collaborate with software development teams to align test coverage with real-world usage.
• Establish CI/CD and modern quality engineering practices across teams.
• Define and operationalize quality metrics and KPIs for data-driven decision-making.
• Analyze defect trends and customer-reported issues to identify root causes.
• Drive alignment on quality standards and best practices across products.

Education

• ISTQB certification or similar formal training in software testing is a plus.

Tools

• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
