Senior Embedded Software Developer (Audiology)

Job summary

This role involves developing advanced hearing aid technology by implementing and optimizing DSP algorithms in embedded software. The position is part of a collaborative team focused on creating low-power audio-enabled devices that meet medical standards.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in embedded software development for resource-constrained applications.
• Familiarity with complex, multi-chip embedded platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in C programming and knowledgeable about compilers.
• Experience with Linux-based development environments and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize DSP algorithms in collaboration with DSP designers.
• Integrate software on new chipsets and deploy DSP and AI algorithms in constrained environments.
• Conduct system-level debugging and optimization with a focus on power efficiency and performance.
• Participate in software architecture discussions for future development.
• Collaborate with hardware and system architecture experts.
• Resolve complex software and hardware interaction issues.
• Support the improvement of development tools and software quality.
• Communicate technical solutions and progress to stakeholders.

Skills

• Understanding of digital signal processing and embedded audio systems is a plus.
• Experience with embedded neural networks or AI/ML algorithms is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Docker and modern development workflows is a plus.

Education

• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
