Senior DevOps Engineer (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves owning the infrastructure for AI products, including cloud environments, deployment pipelines, and Kubernetes setups. You will be responsible for ensuring reliability, security, and efficient scaling of AI workloads while collaborating with engineers to maintain a smooth production process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of seven years of experience managing production infrastructure for web applications.
• Strong automation skills, with a focus on reducing manual interventions.
• Experience in considering failure scenarios and recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of security practices and multi-tenant data isolation.
• Proficiency in using AI coding tools effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments.
• Ensure system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and automation.
• Maintain tight security and tenant isolation for confidential client data.
• Manage infrastructure for model serving and AI workloads, focusing on cost and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline the production process.

Skills

• Extensive experience with Terraform (5+ years), Kubernetes (AKS) (5+ years), Azure (3+ years), and Helm (3+ years).
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, preferably GitHub Actions (2+ years).
• Proven experience with microservices and multi-tenant architecture.

Education

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

• Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
