Job summary

This role involves leading the development and maintenance of data products and platforms that facilitate data-driven decision-making within the e-commerce sector. Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a successful track record in production data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve robust data pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure.
• Collaborate with merchandisers, data scientists, engineers, and application developers to set the technical direction for data platforms.
• Implement data engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers.

Skills

• Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS or Azure) and data integration tools.
• Advanced programming skills in SQL and Python, with experience in data pipelines, Git, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with streaming and real-time data technologies such as Kafka or Spark Streaming.

Education

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Tools

• Experience with data warehousing or lakehouse architectures, FastAPI, ORMs, and backend frameworks.
• Knowledge of database tuning and data governance practices.
