Senior Critical Facilities Technician (On-site)

Job summary

The Senior Critical Facilities Technician – Controls is responsible for providing operational expertise in BMS and SCADA systems within a data center environment. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and adherence to best practices while supporting the SME – Controls in daily operations and troubleshooting tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in mission-critical environments required.
• Prior technical school training preferred.
• Relevant degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in mission-critical environments preferred.
• Electrical or mechanical license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the SME – Controls and take over their duties during absences.
• Create, update, finalize, and close work orders related to BMS and SCADA systems.
• Train lower-level CFTs in operational excellence and control operations.
• Participate in a 24/7 shift rotation as needed.
• Operate and maintain critical data center infrastructure and systems.
• Monitor power, cooling capacity, and environmental conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Resolve controls and monitoring issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate facility data and adhere to change control activities.
• Escort and collaborate with outside contractors.
• Follow corporate policies and safety laws.
