Senior Accountant

Job summary

The role of Senior Accountant involves maintaining financial integrity and optimizing accounting functions within a dynamic environment. This position focuses on ensuring accurate financial data and building a scalable accounting ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in a Big 4 firm or a significant accounting role in a fast-paced organization.
• Strong understanding of German tax and accounting standards (HGB); knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
• Experience with modern ERP/Accounting tools and a mindset geared towards automation.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality financial work under tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in DATEV, Lucanet, and Google Sheets; fluency in German (C2 level) and English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the financial ledgers, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead Accounting for efficient month-end and year-end closes.
• Prepare documentation for annual audits and act as an internal expert for auditors.
• Drive the implementation and optimization of accounting tools to enhance digital capabilities.
• Review accounting topics to ensure data robustness and reduce manual processes.
• Support technical consolidation and alignment of international subsidiaries.

Education
