Scientific Manager (Quantum, On-site)

Job summary

The role involves advancing quantum technologies and their applications in life sciences, contributing to the development of a robust quantum ecosystem in Denmark and beyond. The position is based in the Quantum Unit, focusing on strategic investments and initiatives in quantum science and technology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in engineering, physics, or relevant natural sciences with over 7 years of postgraduate experience in academia or industry.
• In-depth knowledge of quantum science and technologies.
• Experience in interdisciplinary research collaboration, particularly in life sciences, planetary sciences, AI, or data science.
• Proven track record in research management, publication, grant proposals, and international collaborations.
• Strong understanding of the quantum ecosystem with excellent stakeholder and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage strategic projects within the quantum portfolio.
• Design and oversee open competition programs.
• Map the quantum landscape and build connections between quantum, AI, and life sciences.
• Manage existing quantum initiatives and take responsibility for selected quantum investments.
• Review proposals and contribute to open competition committee work.
• Organize events and foster partnerships across the Nordics and EU.
• Write reports, analyses, and recommendations for leadership.

Education

• A Ph.D. in a relevant field is required.
