Risks and Opportunities Manager (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Risks and Opportunities Manager plays a crucial role in the governance model, focusing on risk management and opportunity identification within project management. This position is responsible for maintaining the risk/opportunity register, coordinating risk assessments, and ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in risk management within major infrastructure, rail, engineering, or technology programs.
• Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative risk methods, as well as contingency logic.
• Strong facilitation skills and the ability to challenge stakeholders effectively.
• Resilience under pressure when addressing difficult risks or optimistic forecasts.
• Analytical and action-oriented mindset.
• ISO 31000/workshop facilitation capability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the risk and opportunity management plan, including scoring methods and escalation thresholds.
• Facilitate risk workshops to identify causes, consequences, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate risk inputs for various management reviews, including EAC and contingency.
• Monitor the effectiveness of mitigation strategies and adjust risk scores as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for cost avoidance and improved project strategies.
• Uphold the company's Code of Conduct in all role-specific decisions.

Education
