Research Process Scientist (Nanofabrication)

Job summary

The position involves developing advanced nanomechanical and nanophotonic devices while participating in research activities within quantum physics and information technology. The role includes contributing to cutting-edge research and developing new fabrication concepts in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (PhD) in optics/photonics, physics, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience with lithography, etching, and deposition techniques, particularly ICP-RIE, PECVD, LPCVD, and sputtering.
• Experience with electron-beam lithography and characterization of micro- and nanostructures using optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.
• Strong interest in applying nanofabrication to quantum science and technology.
• Ability to work independently and creatively contribute to research projects.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with diamond processing or mechanical oscillators is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, fabricate, and characterize nanostructures and devices.
