Job summary

This role is for an early-career chemist focused on peptide chemistry and automation within a laboratory setting. The position involves executing automated synthesis workflows and generating macrocyclic peptide libraries, contributing to drug discovery programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, or a Laboratory Technician qualification.
  • Strong practical laboratory skills with experience in synthetic and purification techniques.
  • Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation such as automated synthesizers and analytical equipment (e.g., LC-MS) is preferred.
  • Enthusiasm for learning peptide chemistry is valued, though prior experience is not mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Execute automated workflows for synthesizing linear and macrocyclic peptide libraries.
  • Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot automated laboratory instruments.
  • Accurately interpret, document, and communicate experimental results.
  • Collaborate with scientists across teams to deliver high-quality compounds for drug discovery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory workflows and operations.
