About the role

Job summary

A full-time Research Assistant is needed for the development of a high-pressure ammonia flow rig within the Thermal Energy section. The role involves conducting test campaigns with ammonia pump components from various partners.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in safe handling of ammonia and other liquefied gases in test setups.
  • Proficiency in designing and wiring electronic data acquisition and control systems using PC Schematics.
  • Experience in LabView programming.
  • Mechanical design and FEM analysis skills using SolidWorks.
  • Data processing of large experimental sets of dynamic flow and pressure data using statistical methods in MATLAB.
  • Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine) measurement and preferably experience with Calypso Software.
  • Ability to process large complex geometric data sets from CMM measurements for 3-dimensional analysis of tested pump components.
