Procurement Specialist (Sustainability, Copenhagen)

Job summary

This role focuses on providing technical support and knowledge management related to sustainable procurement within the Vaccine Centre, emphasizing environmental, social, and economic sustainability in vaccine purchasing. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders to implement sustainability strategies and ensure a continuous supply of affordable, quality vaccines.

Qualifications

• Advanced University degree in business administration, commerce, law, or a technical field.
• Training in Environmental sustainability is required; training in Social and Economic sustainability is ideal.
• Minimum five years of progressively responsible professional experience, with at least three years at the international level.
• Expertise in project management, strategy development, market research, and stakeholder management.
• Knowledge of public vaccine procurement and sustainable procurement principles.
• Familiarity with the operational environment of international organizations.
• Experience with environmental, social, and economic sustainability related to UN sustainable development goals.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and oversight of sustainability strategies.
• Implement sustainable procurement practices in vaccine tenders and manage supplier accounts.
• Drive projects focused on climate resilience and mitigation.
• Engage strategically with internal and external partners.
