Process & Continuous Improvement Engineer

Job summary

This role focuses on enhancing the paper manufacturing process through continuous improvement initiatives. The engineer will analyze production trends, develop strategies for process control, and manage capital projects to boost productivity and quality while reducing waste.

Qualifications

• Experience in process improvement within manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in Six Sigma and Total Quality Management methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills to identify improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing control strategies and process improvement plans.
• Create and manage capital authorization requests and oversee capital projects.
• Conduct mill audits to pinpoint areas for improvement and develop action plans.
• Collaborate with plant employees to establish standard work instructions for manufacturing procedures.
• Document mill engineering changes and maintain records of mill processes.
• Work with customers to assess the impact of engineering changes on their processes and products.

Skills

Education
