Principal Statistician (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves serving as a key resource in the statistical department, mentoring biostatisticians, and overseeing training initiatives. The Principal Statistician will direct biostatistics personnel on projects, ensuring high-quality and timely completion of work. Responsibilities include preparing Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs), reviewing programming specifications, and ensuring compliance with protocol criteria throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in biostatistics or a related field.
• Extensive experience in clinical trials or a combination of education and experience demonstrating the ability to lead multiple projects.
• Proficiency in R programming.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train biostatistics associates, developing training materials and conducting sessions.
• Direct activities of biostatistics personnel on projects, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Provide statistical support throughout the project lifecycle, from protocol to clinical study report.
• Prepare and oversee the creation of Statistical Analysis Plans and mock-up displays.
• Review SAS/R annotated case report forms and database designs.
• Interface with project teams and contribute to internal meetings.
• Conduct quality control of project deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Manage multiple projects, adapting to timeline changes and communicating with management.
• Participate in Data Safety Monitoring Board activities as needed.
