Principal Statistician (Remote)

Job summary

The role involves serving as a key resource in the statistical department, mentoring biostatisticians, and overseeing training initiatives. The Principal Statistician will direct biostatistics personnel on projects, ensuring timely and high-quality work while providing comprehensive support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in biostatistics or a related field.
• Extensive experience in clinical trials or a comparable combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in R programming.
• Strong knowledge of statistical design, analysis, and relevant regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Mentor biostatisticians and develop training materials.
• Oversee project activities and ensure quality work from team members.
• Prepare and review Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and mock-up displays.
• Lead statistical aspects of protocols and generate randomization schedules.
• Review programming specifications and annotated case report forms.
• Interface with project teams and contribute to internal meetings.
• Conduct quality control of project deliverables and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing timelines.
• Provide statistical programming support as needed.
• Participate in Data Safety Monitoring Board activities as required.
