PR & Communications Associate (Remote)

Job summary

This role involves managing media relations, event coordination, and enhancing online presence for a data-focused organization. The position is fully remote and requires a proactive individual with a strong interest in crypto and fintech.

Qualifications

• Approximately 1–2 years of experience in public relations, communications, journalism, or media, either in an agency or in-house setting.
• Excellent written English skills, with the ability to draft pitches and press releases efficiently.
• A genuine interest in crypto, Web3, fintech, and market trends.
• Ability to track news and adapt to the fast-paced nature of a 24/7 market.
• Strong organizational skills and the capability to manage multiple pitches and deadlines simultaneously.
• Preferred: Existing contacts in media or podcasts, proficiency in additional languages, and data literacy.

Responsibilities

• Pitch products, articles, and thought leadership to journalists, securing quotes and commentary in news pieces.
• Identify and propose spokespeople for speaking opportunities at conferences and events, managing logistics and briefings.
• Pitch for podcast appearances, TV interviews, and online features, building relationships with relevant media contacts.
• Draft and edit press releases, manage distribution, and handle inbound press inquiries.
• Transform proprietary data into compelling stories and reports for media outreach.
• Monitor media coverage, prepare reports, and support spokespersons with talking points and briefing documents.
• Identify opportunities for awards and rankings submissions.
• Collaborate with marketing, social media, research, and product teams to amplify earned media.
• Provide crisis communication support as needed.
