Consultant Partnerships (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves contributing to the strategic positioning of WFP with public and private partners in Finland and the Baltics to enhance support for food security initiatives. The Partnerships Officer will engage with various stakeholders to attract resources and policy support for WFP's mission.

Qualifications

• Advanced University degree in Political Science, International Development, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related fields; or First University degree with additional relevant experience.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in an international organization, political organization, NGO, or marketing/consultancy firm.
• Experience in partnerships, communications, and account management within a UN agency, particularly WFP, is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct national political surveillance and report on developments in government policies in Finland and the Baltics.
• Analyze donor trends and political environments to inform WFP’s positioning.
• Identify new partnership opportunities within Finnish and Baltic governments, private sectors, and foundations.
• Maintain relationships with existing national partner organizations to promote the fight against hunger.
• Advise WFP Country Offices on funding and partnership opportunities.
• Assist in planning and preparing materials for meetings and conferences with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with HQ and field officers to ensure visibility for Finnish partners.
• Manage and expand the online support base, including social media content creation and updates.

Skills

• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Finnish and English; knowledge of other Nordic languages is a plus.

Education

• Advanced University degree or First University degree with relevant experience.

Tools

• Familiarity with social media platforms and content management systems.
