Job summary

This role involves working as a Powerplants and Generators Specialist within the Power Systems Department, focusing on the design and tendering of power plants, including turbines and generators, for various projects in Denmark and internationally. The position supports the green transition by contributing to large infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the design of power plants and power generating systems, particularly with synchronous machines and condensers.
  • Familiarity with high voltage (HV) projects, specifically systems operating at 132, 150, and 400 kV.
  • Background in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Consulting experience on large-scale power projects with a strong client-facing focus.
  • Desirable experience with gas-fired power plants.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one additional European language.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting detailed engineering design for synchronous condensers and machines, including their excitation systems and protection mechanisms.
  • Developing specifications for interfaces between synchronous machines and the grid, including transformers and switchgear.
  • Creating tender specifications and performing technical evaluations for related systems.
  • Analyzing reactive power and voltage control performance, and recommending improvements.
  • Collaborating with civil, electrical, control, and grid-connection teams to ensure effective interfaces.
  • Ensuring compliance with grid codes, health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Ability to work on complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

Education

  • Relevant degree in electrical engineering or a related field.

Tools

  • Proficient in engineering design software and tools relevant to power systems.
