Job summary

This position focuses on the development of innovative wearable biosensors and soft bioelectronic technologies aimed at continuous health monitoring. The role involves working in an interdisciplinary research environment to create advanced sensing platforms that integrate biomaterials, functional biomolecules, and nanomaterials.

Qualifications

  • PhD in biophysics, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, materials science, chemistry, or a related field.
  • Experience in biosensors, bioelectronics, biomaterials, nanomaterials, or electrochemical sensing.
  • Proven hands-on experience in designing and validating functional materials or sensing platforms.
  • Strong publication record and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop wearable biosensors and soft bioelectronic systems.
  • Engineer and characterize functional materials and biointerfaces for sensing applications.
  • Develop and evaluate sensing platforms using biomolecules, proteins, and nanomaterials.
  • Conduct biochemical, biophysical, and electrochemical characterization of sensing systems.
  • Validate sensing technologies through in vitro and ex vivo studies.
  • Publish research findings in leading journals and present at conferences.
  • Co-supervise MSc and PhD students and engage in collaborative research activities.

Education

  • A formal qualification of a PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.

Tools

  • Experience with biomaterials, nanomaterials, and electrochemical sensing technologies is essential.
