Job summary

This postdoctoral role focuses on advancing the understanding of behavioural change and societal impacts of mobility transitions through innovative modelling and causal analysis. The position involves working with unique longitudinal datasets and contributing to methodological advances in behavioural modelling and impact assessment.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree (or equivalent) in transport, psychology, geography, sociology, anthropology, data science, or a related field.
  • Strong quantitative research and statistical modelling skills.
  • A publication record demonstrating strong research potential.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply advanced behavioural modelling approaches.
  • Analyse large-scale datasets, including longitudinal data from a 7-wave panel survey and a 9-month mobility app dataset.
  • Publish findings in leading international journals.
  • Collaborate with a network of international colleagues with expertise in the field.

Skills

  • Documented expertise in longitudinal data analysis, causal inference, causal machine learning, and environmental impact assessment.
  • Familiarity with theoretical frameworks explaining individual behaviour or societal change.

Education

  • A formal qualification of a PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.

Tools

  • Experience with statistical software and data analysis tools relevant to behavioural modelling and causal analysis.
