About the role

Job summary

We are looking for 1-2 highly motivated postdoctoral researchers to contribute to a project focused on scalable photonic quantum computing. The project aims to develop photonic systems for measurement-based Gaussian boson sampling, utilizing advanced techniques such as squeezed light and multimode entanglement.

Qualifications

  • PhD in physics, photonics, quantum information science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in experimental quantum optics or integrated photonics.
  • Strong academic record and creativity in research.

Responsibilities

  • Develop photonic systems for measurement-based Gaussian boson sampling.
  • Design and characterize photonic architectures for continuous-variable cluster states.
  • Explore non-Gaussian states and measurements for quantum computing.
  • Collaborate with external partners on photonic integrated circuit platforms.
  • Benchmark MBGBS processors and demonstrate quantum advantage.
  • Publish research findings and present at conferences.

Skills

  • Expertise in experimental quantum optics, continuous-variable quantum information processing, and integrated photonics.
  • Knowledge of optical design, interferometry, and high-speed electronics.
  • Programming and numerical modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Education

  • PhD in a relevant field is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with FPGA programming and data acquisition systems is advantageous.
