Job summary

Qualifications

• PhD degree (or equivalent) in biotechnology or a related field.
• Experience with gas fermentation and/or genetically modified microorganisms in laboratory or pilot scale settings.
• Familiarity with downstream protein recovery processes is advantageous.
• Strong motivation, independence, and hands-on skills in analytical and experimental techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory work to enhance microbial protein production using gas fermentation and GMOs.
• Develop a life cycle inventory for the fermentation process.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team.
• Disseminate research findings through publications and conference participation.
• Engage in teaching and supervision related to biological water treatment and biowaste valorization.
