Qualifications

• PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience with mammalian genome-scale metabolic models and constraint-based modeling frameworks (e.g., COBRApy).
• Proficiency in analyzing multi-omic datasets for biological insights.
• Familiarity with structural bioinformatics and molecular docking techniques.
• Strong programming skills in bioinformatics languages (e.g., Python, R) and version control (e.g., Git).
• Proven scientific output with first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience mentoring students at various academic levels in cell culture and genetic engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and simulate amino acid biosynthetic pathways using genome-scale metabolic models.
• Conduct bioinformatics analyses on multi-omics datasets to identify metabolic bottlenecks.
• Model protein-metabolite interactions using computational and structural approaches.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication and present findings at international conferences.
• Mentor PhD, MSc, and BSc students in the research group.
