Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemistry (On-site)

Job summary

A motivated chemist is sought for a postdoctoral position focused on research and development in sustainable building materials, particularly in CO₂ capture and energy storage. The role involves engaging in innovative research at the intersection of fundamental science and technology.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Solid experience in organic and/or inorganic synthesis
• Practical experience with electrochemistry techniques (e.g., cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy)
• Proficiency in analytical techniques (e.g., NMR, XPS, FTIR, UV-Vis, XRD)
• Familiarity with AI tools or data-driven methods in chemistry is advantageous
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Design and execute organic and inorganic syntheses
• Develop and optimize electrochemical experiments
• Characterize materials and compounds using standard analytical techniques
• Analyze data and document results
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary researchers
• Contribute to publications and project deliverables
• Supervise and mentor bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students

Education

• A formal qualification of a PhD degree (or equivalent) is required.
