Job summary

This position involves conducting research and development in optical navigation sensors for spacecraft at a leading technical university. Qualifications

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent academic level.
  • Strong analytical skills with a background in space environments and their impact on instruments.
  • Proficiency in mathematical modeling of electro-optical frontends.
  • Programming skills in Python, C(++), Matlab, or similar languages.
  • Experience in performance prediction and validation of instrumentation systems in space environments.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in theoretical development and validation methodologies for optical navigation sensors.
  • Collaborate with experts in the field and contribute to interdisciplinary projects.
  • Conduct optical modeling, calibration, uncertainty analysis, and experimental verification of sensor concepts.
  • Advance the state of the art in optical navigation through innovative methodologies.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills.
  • Programming proficiency in relevant languages.
  • Experience with spacecraft instrument design and verification processes is advantageous.

Education
