Job summary

This position involves conducting research in bioinformatics to enhance treatment and prognoses for colorectal cancer patients. The role focuses on integrating phenotypic data with multi-omics data to predict postoperative recurrence of colorectal cancer.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in bioinformatics, computer science, computational biology, data science, biomedical engineering, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and machine learning.
  • Experience with large-scale biological or health-related datasets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement machine learning and foundation-model approaches for analyzing large-scale longitudinal health and genomic data.
  • Integrate clinical, microbiome, and genomic data to identify factors related to adenoma progression and colorectal cancer.
  • Create computational models of patient trajectories and microbial communities using advanced AI and bioinformatics techniques.

Education

  • A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent academic level is required.

Tools

  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and bioinformatics software is advantageous.
