Job summary

A PhD position is available in the field of materials engineering, focusing on 3D bioprinting and biomaterials chemistry. The role involves developing advanced biomaterials for clinical applications, particularly for tissue regeneration and integration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, materials science, or a related field.
• Essential experience in biomaterials synthesis, modification, and characterization techniques such as spectroscopy and rheology.

Responsibilities

• Design, synthesize, formulate, and characterize new materials (inks) for micro-extrusion 3D printing.
• Conduct 3D bioprinting of implantable biohybrid tissues.

Skills

• Strong background in polymer chemistry and hydrogel design.
• Knowledge of crosslinking mechanisms and structure–property relationships in biomaterials.

Education

• A two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or equivalent academic level is required.

Tools

• Experience with characterization tools and techniques relevant to materials science.
