People Systems & Payroll Specialist

Job summary

This role is responsible for managing people systems and payroll coordination across multiple countries, ensuring smooth operations and compliance. The position involves ownership of the HRIS and payroll processes, with a focus on data quality and timely payroll execution.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in payroll and HR systems, with hands-on payroll coordination experience.
• Experience managing multi-country payroll using a global payroll platform, preferably Deel.
• Strong HRIS administration skills, including reporting and workflow configuration.
• High attention to detail and process discipline to prevent errors before payroll execution.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for data management and reconciliation.
• Fluent in English, with the ability to work independently across different time zones.

Responsibilities

• Administer Deel as the group HRIS, managing configuration, workflows, and data quality.
• Develop and maintain people reporting metrics such as headcount and attrition.
• Oversee integrations between Deel and other tools, managing employee data flows.
• Lead the people-systems roadmap, including tool evaluations and process automation.
• Manage the monthly payroll cycle for all group entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with internal accounting teams to validate payroll inputs and outputs.
• Maintain the payroll calendar and ensure all statutory deadlines are met.
• Reconcile payroll with Finance and support audits and year-end processes.
• Provide ad-hoc support to the people operations team as needed.
