Job summary

This role is for a payroll expert responsible for ensuring compliance and efficiency of payroll solutions in a specific country. The Payroll Country Owner will act as a key subject matter expert, collaborating with product development and compliance teams to enhance payroll processes and drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Payroll or HR Outsourcing.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulations, and compliance requirements in the assigned country.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • High accountability and service orientation.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary payroll expert for the assigned country, ensuring compliance with local legislation and tax laws.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and collaborate with compliance teams and industry associations.
  • Partner with product development to influence the product roadmap and ensure country-specific functionality.
  • Maintain updated country workbooks with legislative requirements and compliance changes.
  • Analyze payroll procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to improve [company] Pay methodology and standards.
  • Provide expertise during client deployments to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Manage client customization requests while balancing innovation and compliance.
