About the role

Job summary

This role involves supporting the strategic positioning of a humanitarian organization within the Nordic region, focusing on public and private sector partnerships to enhance food security initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Advanced University degree in Political Science, International Development, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related fields; or a First University degree with additional relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in international organizations, NGOs, or consultancy firms, with a focus on partnerships and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize engagement opportunities with Nordic public and private partners.
  • Review and ensure transparency and accountability in partnership engagements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for private sector engagement and support partnership development.
  • Analyze financing trends and advise on strategic developments relevant to the organization.
  • Organize meetings and engagement opportunities with potential partners.
  • Complete additional duties as required.

Skills

  • Knowledge of public and private sector dynamics in Nordic countries.
  • Understanding of humanitarian assistance and food systems transformation.
  • Expertise in fundraising from various sources, including governments and private sectors.
  • Strong marketing, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and strategically.

Education

  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields.

Tools

  • Familiarity with UN policies and regulations is advantageous.
