OT Systems Engineer

Job summary

This position involves taking full ownership of production-critical Operational Technology (OT) systems and supporting a Smart Factory transformation. The role focuses on ensuring the stability, reliability, security, and performance of OT systems in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in Engineering, Automation, Information Technology, Infrastructure, or related field.
• Experience with OT/IT infrastructure and production-critical systems.
• Understanding of industrial environments and operational constraints.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and lifecycle management of critical systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the lifecycle of production-critical systems, including maintenance and upgrades.
• Ensure availability and performance of assigned OT systems.
• Act as the main contact for OT system-related issues in manufacturing.
• Support incident management and problem resolution.
• Maintain system documentation and governance processes.
• Coordinate with Corporate IT on various infrastructure topics.
• Manage vendor relationships and support agreements.
• Drive improvements for system reliability and user experience.

Skills

• Experience with MES, SCADA, or industrial data systems is preferred.
• Understanding of OT cybersecurity principles.
• Familiarity with industrial networking concepts.
• Experience with Windows Server and virtualization platforms.

Education

• A technical degree is required.

Tools

• Knowledge of industrial data platforms and Smart Factory technologies is beneficial.
