Operations Control Executive (Shipping, Copenhagen/Santiago)

Job summary

Qualifications

• Relevant education in Finance & Accounting, Shipping and Trade, or experience as a Shipping Trainee.
• A few years of experience in the shipping industry is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel; SAP experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Valid residence and work permit for the chosen location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely payment of hire for a fleet of leased vessels.
• Prepare and manage commission invoices and other commercial payments.
• Resolve customer payment disputes promptly and professionally.
• Correspond with Operators regarding hire payment instructions and prepare remittances.
• Control operational data and systems for accuracy.
• Conduct ad hoc data analyses to support operational performance reviews.
• Provide internal support to operators and controllers.
• Contribute to digitalisation initiatives, including new systems and automation.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or Shipping.
