Network Specialist (IT Operations, Hybrid)

Job summary

The role involves supporting and enhancing a complex international network across multiple locations. The Network Specialist will focus on daily operational tasks, standardization efforts, and act as a second-level support for network incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in network specialization.
• Proficient in English and either Danish or German.
• Strong organizational skills and proactive work ethic in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and manage network hardware.
• Serve as a second-level escalation point for complex network issues.
• Develop detailed configuration templates and documentation from high-level designs.
• Automate monitoring and operational tasks using scripting and vendor tools.
• Implement changes following ITIL processes to maintain stable operations.
• Identify and delegate tasks suitable for first-level support.
• Participate in infrastructure projects and rollouts.
• Prepare environments and ensure operational readiness.
• Validate solutions against agreed standards prior to go-live.
• Troubleshoot issues across network, server, and cloud layers to prevent recurrence.

Skills

• Automation-focused mindset with a desire to simplify operations.
• Collaborative team player willing to share knowledge.
• Familiarity with Fortinet solutions is a plus but not required.

Education

• Relevant technical education or equivalent experience in network operations.

Tools

• Experience with network management and monitoring tools, scripting languages, and ITIL frameworks.
