MEP Project Director

Job summary

An experienced Project Director is needed to oversee large-scale, fully integrated MEP projects across Europe. This role involves managing project strategy, safety, quality, schedule, and budget from pre-construction to handover, ensuring adherence to procedures and standards while acting as the primary interface with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognized trade qualification
• At least 10 years of experience managing large construction projects with significant MEP responsibility, particularly in the €70M–€180M range
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with civil, structural, and architectural interfaces
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage performance against KPIs
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Direct pre-construction planning and execution for complex MEP builds, defining targets and performance expectations
• Manage schedule, cost, and scope control, implementing corrective strategies as needed
• Review design for constructability and ensure alignment with budget and programme
• Own the project's commercial performance, including P&L accountability and contract management
• Schedule and lead meetings with project teams and clients, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding items
• Champion safety and quality initiatives, conducting audits and ensuring compliance with EHS standards
