About the role

Job summary

The role involves contributing to the development of modular low-voltage switchboard systems, including enclosure structures and mechanical components, within an R&D team. The position requires collaboration with engineers and project teams to transform concepts into manufacturable products.

Qualifications

  • Relevant technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Production Technology, or a similar field.
  • Experience with CAD software, preferably Creo or Pro/ENGINEER.
  • Familiarity with large and complex assemblies.
  • Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Structured approach to managing product information and design changes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D CAD models, drawings, and specifications for new products and improvements.
  • Support the design and development of enclosure systems and busbar support systems.
  • Ensure designs meet quality, safety, reliability, manufacturability, and cost requirements.
  • Create and maintain product data, including bills of materials.
  • Manage the release of drawings and specifications through the Engineering Change process.
  • Participate in prototype development and product verification activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams throughout the development process.

Skills

  • Strong ownership and attention to detail in design work.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Curiosity and motivation to see designs become real products.

Education

  • Technical education in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering or Design Engineering.

Tools

  • CAD software, preferably Creo or Pro/ENGINEER.
