About the role

Job summary

The role involves utilizing polymer and materials science to develop medical devices aimed at improving intimate healthcare. You will collaborate with a team of scientists, engineers, and project managers to create and implement material solutions from selection to product integration.

Qualifications

  • MSc in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, or a related field, preferably with a specialization in polymers.
  • Experience in applied materials science, polymer chemistry, or organic chemistry, ideally within medical devices or regulated industries.
  • Understanding of mechanical and physical properties of polymers and experience with material testing.
  • Proficient in data analysis and relevant statistical methods.
  • Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute material-related activities in Product Development projects, identifying material risks early.
  • Investigate, select, and characterize polymer materials for products.
  • Translate user and product needs into material requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with laboratory technicians to plan material testing and focus on evidence for project progression.
  • Recommend material solutions balancing product performance and manufacturability.
  • Document technical conclusions and contribute to risk assessments and design documentation.

Skills

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate complex material trade-offs clearly.
  • Ability to apply scientific judgment in situations with incomplete evidence.

Education

  • MSc in a relevant field as noted in qualifications.

Tools

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools and material testing equipment.
