Job summary

This senior leadership position focuses on enhancing the risk management framework for market, trading, and operational risks within a high-performance trading platform. The role involves collaboration with engineering, trading, and executive teams to ensure effective risk controls and real-time monitoring.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in market risk roles, preferably at crypto derivatives exchanges or top-tier investment banks.
• Strong background in options and derivatives trading, with experience in risk modeling and analysis.
• Advanced degrees in Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Continuously improve the risk engine, ensuring accurate pricing and margin modeling.
• Develop market risk models, including Value-at-Risk (VaR) and stress testing.
• Collaborate with engineers to design stress tests and enhance real-time monitoring tools.
• Establish automated alert systems for risk-related emergencies.
• Work with traders to set risk management policies and monitor trading desk exposure.
• Implement surveillance mechanisms for smart contract risks and evaluate DeFi protocol-level risks.
• Lead crisis management efforts and conduct post-incident analyses.

Skills

• Strong quantitative skills in statistics, probability, and financial modeling.
