Market Development Manager (Water Industry, Remote in Europe)

Job summary

This role focuses on driving growth in municipal wastewater and drinking water markets across Europe, acting as a key individual contributor with significant influence within the organization. The position involves identifying market opportunities, shaping strategies, and collaborating with various teams to ensure market leadership and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or application roles within municipal wastewater and/or drinking water sectors
• Proven ability to analyze markets and develop actionable strategies
• Strong presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is a plus
• Willingness to travel up to 40% across Europe

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert in municipal water markets
• Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify growth opportunities
• Define and influence regional marketing and commercial strategies
• Provide customer insights to support product innovation
• Collaborate with Sales Leaders and General Managers across Europe
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the industry
• Address complex customer challenges with effective solutions
• Contribute to marketing campaigns and messaging
• Represent the organization at industry events and conferences
