Maintenance Planning Manager

Job summary

The Maintenance Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning of scheduled maintenance activities to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing maintenance processes and supporting operational efficiency within the aviation sector.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in aviation, specifically in maintenance planning within a CAMO organization.
• Previous experience in supervising or leading teams.
• Good understanding of the Part-145 and CAMO regulatory framework.
• Familiarity with MSG-3 and Aircraft Maintenance Programmes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning of all scheduled maintenance activities according to the approved maintenance programme.
• Optimize the aircraft maintenance planning programme to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
• Ensure aircraft availability to meet operational needs.
• Maintain manuals and controlled documentation for the Planning Department.
• Prepare responses to audit findings and implement necessary changes to processes and procedures.
• Drive departmental development to promote efficient processes and an engaged workforce.
• Ensure adequate staffing with qualified personnel and support recruitment efforts.
• Provide Tech Rep coverage during base maintenance activities.
• Set priorities, monitor departmental progress, and guide teams and individuals.
• Establish departmental procedures and implement control measures.
• Act as a substitute for other planners during absences.
