Maintenance Planning Manager

Job summary

The Maintenance Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Planning Department to ensure airworthiness and regulatory compliance through effective scheduling of maintenance activities. This role is crucial for optimizing maintenance processes and supporting operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree or aircraft maintenance technician qualification.
• Minimum of five years’ experience in aviation, specifically in maintenance planning within a CAMO organization.
• Previous experience in supervising or leading teams.
• Strong understanding of the Part-145 and CAMO regulatory framework.
• Familiarity with MSG-3 and Aircraft Maintenance Programs.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize all scheduled maintenance activities in accordance with the approved maintenance programme.
• Ensure aircraft availability to meet operational needs.
• Maintain manuals and controlled documentation for the Planning Department.
• Prepare responses to audit findings and implement necessary changes.
• Drive departmental development for efficient processes and engaged workforce.
• Ensure adequate staffing with qualified personnel and support recruitment efforts.
• Provide Tech Rep coverage during base maintenance activities.
• Monitor departmental progress and performance, guiding teams as needed.
• Establish and implement departmental procedures and control measures.
• Act as a substitute for other planners during their absences.
