Looker Practice Lead (On-site, Nordics)

Job summary

Qualifications

• Several years of hands-on experience with Looker, including deep knowledge of LookML, caching policies, and hub-and-spoke architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Google Cloud, particularly BigQuery, with skills in query optimization and partitioning.
• Experience in designing end-to-end BI and analytics solutions, making informed decisions about data governance and scalability.
• Deep SQL knowledge and experience with transformation tools like dbt.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to present confidently to stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience with conversational analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and expand Looker engagements across the Nordics, identifying new business opportunities and advising clients on modern analytics.
• Ensure high delivery quality by setting standards for LookML development and reviewing team outputs.
• Build strong relationships with Google's teams to enhance partnership opportunities.
• Mentor and develop the data team, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
• Collaborate with sales to align market trends with Looker features for client offerings.
