Job summary

The role of Legal Counsel involves providing legal support primarily focused on contracts and compliance in a biotech environment, particularly related to clinical development and research activities. The position offers opportunities for hands-on experience and collaboration across various functions within the organization.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in law and qualification as an attorney-at-law (or equivalent)
  • A couple of years of relevant experience, preferably within life sciences
  • Interest in and basic understanding of clinical development, research, and biotech-related legislation
  • Experience with contract drafting and negotiation is advantageous, particularly in IT contracts and collaboration with Procurement
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Responsibilities

  • Drafting and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements, CMO agreements, MSA/CRO agreements, and other R&D-related contracts
  • Managing contracting processes to ensure compliance and support key timelines
  • Ensuring legal compliance of clinical trials, manufacturing processes, and external services
  • Identifying and mitigating legal risks related to R&D activities
  • Supporting internal legal processes and cross-functional collaboration within R&D

Education

  • Master’s degree in law and qualification as an attorney-at-law (or equivalent)

Tools
