About the role

Job summary

This role involves overseeing the architecture, strategy, and delivery of the Edge Communications Platform within a global network. The position requires strong technical leadership to set engineering standards and guide a team of senior engineers in providing secure and scalable IT/OT connectivity.

Qualifications

  • Over 15 years of experience in Networking & Security, with a focus on technical leadership.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Industrial networking and OT integration.
  • Expert knowledge of routing/switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.).
  • Strong skills in NGFW, IPS/IDS, and Zero Trust architectures.
  • Proficient in network automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Python, Ansible, Bash, and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point, and Aruba/Cisco wireless technologies.
  • Understanding of OT networking standards such as PROFINET and Modbus.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Experience in leading and developing engineering teams.
  • Relevant certifications like CCNP/CCIE, TOGAF, or CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and long-term roadmap for Edge Communications.
  • Define engineering standards and governance for products and platforms.
  • Lead design reviews and make major technical decisions related to network and security solutions.
  • Oversee the delivery of various security and networking solutions, including routing/switching and VPNs.
  • Manage automation initiatives and develop frameworks for automated remediation.
  • Collaborate with Terminal IT and Security teams to align requirements with platform solutions.
  • Lead major network programs, addressing risks and managing stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive platform documentation and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
