Lead Data Scientist / Analytics Engineer

Job summary

We are seeking a Lead Data Scientist / Analytics Engineer to enhance our analytics capabilities within the Transaction Banking sector. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to derive actionable insights and improve strategic decision-making through data analytics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role, utilizing advanced statistical techniques and machine learning.
• Strong business consulting mindset with proactive stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proficiency in end-to-end software engineering, SQL, and programming languages such as Python.
• Familiarity with data tools like Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, and business intelligence tools like Power BI.
• Experience in data/analytics engineering and workshop facilitation is advantageous.
• A degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or a related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and capture requirements through workshops.
• Lead the software engineering and ML/AI initiatives within the team.
• Develop analytics products to support strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
• Identify business opportunities using both internal and external data sources.
• Apply data science techniques, including statistical modeling and AI, to drive insights.
• Oversee the development of the technical analytical platform to ensure it meets data science needs.

Education
